Subscription changes and new functionality for Test Track
27-05-2024 15:04
On Friday 31st May at 21:00 UTC we will be performing an update to Test Track. With this update brings some changes to our subscription plans, one of which has been asked a while ago but its finally here, and also includes some additional functionality to Test Track itself.
Subscription Changes
First of all is an important change to our subscription offerings. We are removing the free plan as an option when you register for an account for Test Track. The reason for this is to reduce spam accounts, but also we felt the free plan was quite restrictive to get a good feel of how Test Track might help in your day to day services, compared to signing up to one of he paid plans and running through the 14 day trial. Therefore we are removing the free plan, and just providing the paid plans with a 14 day trial, don't worry, there is still no credit card information required in order to sign up.
Other changes include when you register for an account you can choose for your account to an annual subscription, or monthly subscription, and choose between paying in USD or GBP (after the trial ends). At the moment you won't be able to change the payment method within the app, however, once the upgrade has been done on 31st May 2024, then please get in touch to change your accounts billing options.
Important note: once your account is active (e.g. you are no longer in trial and payment information provided), you will not be able to change from a USD to GBP account, this can only be done in trial, even if you raise a support ticket to us. The only way you would be able to do this would be to cancel your account (this will remove all of your data) and then re-register for a new account using the billing information you preferred). We will however, be able to change between monthly and annual billing cycles at any time.
Reordering of Test Steps in Test Plan
A new feature has also been added to Test Track, which has been regularly requested which is the ability to reorder your test steps within a test plan. Within a test plan, just click and hold on a test step, and drag into position of where you want it, and all of the steps are re-ordered appropriately.
This release also has some other minor bug fixes and improvements, but these will be detailed in the full release note after Test Track has been upgraded.
There is a maintence window open for this upgrade which you can see at status.test-track.io or status.devso.io.
