Why Test Track Release Is Taking So Long…Personal Update

If you’ve been following me on Twitter, you might have seen the odd update about Test Track and having a release available in the not too distant future, but unfortunately the update has been released as yet, and its a while off unfortunately, and I wanted to give an update as to why.

I’ve unfortunately had a really annoying cough, not a particularly major health concern (at least hopefully not) which has been massively affecting my sleep so have not had much energy or concentration to work on anything particularly complicated.

I unfortunately had a cold at the start of December 2022, nothing particularly major, came with the usual things of a sore throat, stuffy nose, I did lose my voice which a bit unusual for me, and a cough. Initially the cough was just your average run of the mill cough but it progressively got worse and worse, then thought I was getting over it and it came back again, and this continued over Christmas, and then into the new year.

It became a horrendous continuous cough that stopped me sleeping properly for nearly a month. Around 5 or 6 weeks of the cough I’ve been to the doctors and so far nothing major has come up with various checks but unfortunately the cough still hasn’t gone away. Again it seemed to subside for a few days after being prescribed antibiotics while other investigations were being done, but that only lasted around 4 days and the continuous cough is back again.

I’m still trying to work on Test Track when I can, I did do an update the other day where I completed the test run overview page (screenshot below), so I am still working on it, but its taking a little longer than I hoped.

Its getting close, but there’s still a few improvements I want to make to the UI, and then run through some tests to confirm everything is working as expected, and yes I use Test Track to keep track of my tests to confirm everything is working as expected.

I hope it won’t be too much into the distant future but rest assured I am still working on it and hope to have it released as soon as possible.
